Gullion Ditch A4 Mounted Print

“Gullion Ditch”, High Quality A4 heat sealed fully mounted print.

“Gullion Ditch” A4 mounted print. Encapsulating the beauty of an unchanged landscape of bygone days, the granite stone ditches scattered all along Slieve Gullion and South Armagh are a testament to the endurance and hard labour of our people since before the Famine. It was said each stone had a tale to tell, their beauty belies all the majesty of the Ring of Gullion and is a joy to behold. “Less than 40 steps from my door this view is a constant inspiration and reminder of my heritage.” This is a high quality heat sealed A4 print on beautiful velvet art paper in a top grade fully backed 12 x 16″ iced white textured mount. Aperture is 11.25″ x 7.75″ Please feel free to contact artist directly for more info or for commission.

Caoilfionn Murphy-O’Hanlon founded Cushla of Gullion in 2014 and works from her mountainside studio in Dromintee, South Armagh. A photographer, milliner  and lover of fibres, she finds constant inspiration in the Ring of Gullion which she translates into her unique and quirky textile designs. Excited by new experimental amalgamations of found and upcycled materials she enjoys the organic nature, flow and fusion which the textile medium allows. Working mainly through handmade felting techniques, Caóilfíonn, a self professed fibre scavenger also enjoys finding new ways to repurpose and revive upcycled fabrics. Constantly inspired by the shifting lights and hues, the abundance of myth and legend in her Gullion surrounds, she strives to encapsulate some Gullion magic into her designs. Please feel free to contact artist directly for more info or for commission.
