The Restore Slieve Gullion Cairn project is implemented through The Ring of Gullion Landscape Partnership Scheme. The LPS is part of the Heritage Lottery Fund’s programme to conserve and enhance some of the region’s most treasured landscapes. The LPS runs from September 2015 until August 2018.
The total budget for this project is £6,295
This project aims to restore aspects and conserve one of the country’s most important built heritage sites. The tombs passage will be re-profiled to its original shape, graffiti will be removed, the chamber restored in line with the recommendations from the initial survey document, available from the download below.
