St Moninne,who was one of our first female Irish saints in Ireland founded Killeavy in 450. She was deeply connected to the Celtic calendar and the landscape and was a great spiritual teacher. Ring of Gullion Ambassador and Tour Guide Ann Ward recently took part in a special film for the Armagh Dioceses to celebrate the Patron Saint.
Tomaí Ó Conghailes singing on Moninne’s Pattern Day (6th July) a rendition of Amhran na Craoibhe/Song of the Branch which is all about her Pattern day.

St.Moninna’s Primary & Nursery School Cloughoge recently gave a kind donation towards the upkeep of the sacred sites.
