The National Lottery is celebrating its 25th birthday by bringing people together. They are offering people and communities with great ideas the chance to receive a grant between £100 and £1,000. If you have an idea for an event or community activity or even if you want to buy something, that will bring your community together – they would love to hear from you.

Peace Plus have your say to make a Difference!

PEACE PLUS is a new EU cross-border programme that will contribute to a more prosperous and stable society in Northern Ireland and the Border Region of Ireland. The programme will achieve this by funding activities that promote peace and reconciliation and contribute to the cross-border economic and territorial development of the region. It will build upon previous PEACE and INTERREG Programmes.

Celebrating all things Ring of Gullion

On Thursday 26th September the Ring of Gullion Landscape Partnership and its supporters descended on Killeavy Castle Estate to celebrate the Ring of Gullion Landscape Partnership Scheme. The event marked the end of the ‘delivery phase’ of the Scheme and welcomed in the ‘10-year legacy phase’, due to kick-off in January 2020 and run until December 2030.

Learning Without Walls

Get involved in Learning Without Walls now, with Red Branch Bushcraft and the Northern Ireland Forest School Association, to become Red Branch Bushcraft Nature Rangers. This will be a club for primary school children and will be based in the Forkhill area, but is open to kids from all areas.

Forest Expansion Scheme reopens for applications

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) has announced the opening of the fifth phase of the Forest Expansion Scheme and a revised Forest Protection Scheme to help woodland owners affected by Chalara ash dieback.

The Forest Expansion Scheme is intended to encourage and support landowners who wish to plant their own woodland. Successful applicants to the Forest Expansion Scheme will receive up to 100% of eligible establishment costs and annual premia for a 10-year period. Projects must conform to the UK Forestry Standard and the scheme favours bids with lower costs and which are part financed by the applicant.
