An Tobar’s ‘Brian’s Wood Native Woodland Heritage 1 year Project

An Tobar Wellness Centre, Silverbridge had the official launch for their ‘Brian’s Wood Native Woodland Heritage 1 year Project.’ This project recently secured a National Lottery Fund Grant of £61,900 to help connect people with the heritage in Brian’s Wood.

AONB’s Photography Competition 2021

Linen & Lace Exhibition- A Rich Heritage

The South Armagh Lace Collective and the Clanrye Lace Group, Newry, two Heritage Lace groups have worked tirelessly over the last couple of months, alongside the Ring of Gullion Partnership in planning their very successful exhibition in the National Trust’s Derrymore House Property.

Rediscovering the Lost Songs of a Border People

A partnership between Newry Mourne and Down District Council, Creggan Local History Society, Colleen Savage Oriel Events, Oriel Traditional Orchestra and Louth County Council were successful in their application to the Department of Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sport & the Gaeltacht’s Co-operation with Northern Ireland Funding Scheme.

The Ring of Gullion Landscape Partnership and Newry Mourne and Down District Council is working with local community groups to launch an exciting new initiative; Tidy Villages South Armagh. Most village communities are carrying out stellar work around south Armagh and the Partnership Members wanted to encourage, expand and reward these efforts. This is the inaugural year of the Tidy Villages South Armagh Competition.
