As we enter a new decade Outdoor Recreation NI’s annual conference this year will focus on projects that showcase good practice in outdoor recreation from across the Northern Ireland.
There is now overwhelming evidence of the benefits of being active in the outdoors. These include improving physical and mental health, connecting with and protecting the environment, growing the economy, enhancing education and learning, and tackling inequality and improving social cohesion.
Simply put, people need to be outdoors and engaged with nature, yet many continue to live sedentary lives.
The Outdoor Recreation NI conference will highlight projects that are seeking to increase participation in the outdoors in innovative ways and share their knowledge and learnings from multiple perspectives e.g. project managers and partners, funders and participants.
Date: Thursday 26th March, 9am – 4pm
Venue: CAFRE Greenmount Conference Hall, Antrim
