Support for tourist accommodation businesses in Northern Ireland that have been severely impacted through reduced income due to COVID- 19.
A £4.1 million package of support has been announced to support tourist accommodation businesses in Northern Ireland that have been severely impacted through reduced income due to coronavirus (COVID- 19). The Certified Bed and Breakfast, Guest House and Guest Accommodation Support Scheme it is expected to support around 900 providers to continue to deliver tourist accommodation in 2021 and beyond.
Financial support will be in the range of £1,000 up to a maximum of £12,500.
This scheme is intended to support business continuity plans, keeping businesses operational and starting to prepare for re-opening. Support awarded can be used for the following:
- The cost of re-opening or keeping a business operational.
- Adapting physical areas of the business and service processes.
- The cost of re-connecting with employees and customers.
- Adapting customer marketing.
- Financial planning.
To apply, applicants must be a named owner, correspondent or authorised representative from an existing bed & breakfast, guest house or guest accommodation certified by Tourism NI.
The closing date for applications is 11 February 2021 (17:00 GMT).
