Everyone got messy at the Big Draw

The Ring of Gullion – The Big Draw

Mayor of Newry and Mourne District Council, Charlie Casey joins Darren Rice, The Ring of Gullion Officer and local events organiser Sharon Carroll to welcome families to the Ring of Gullion’s Big Draw 2011.

The day out was organised by NMDC as part of the Ring of Gullion Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Management Plan to encourage enjoyment of the area.

Local events organizer Sharon Carroll from Enspire ensured it was an experience not to be forgotten as she lead the bespoke event and thrilled the kids with myths, nature and heritage from the Ring of Gullion.

Mayor Charlie Casey said, “What a fantastic day out in October to celebrate art with The Big Draw, the GIANT Maxibeast pieces of art were exceptional! Well done to all the boys and girls who took part.”

Darren Rice of Newry and Mourne Council said, “This was a great days fun, all the kids and parents enjoyed it. Sharon was enthusiastic as usual and made the day very memorable. I was blown away by the talent kids and parents!”
