Eden Project NI, Collaboration for Change and other partners across the island of Ireland and beyond are working on a Community Economy Mapping project – to build an open source mapping tool that we can all use.
They want to build on the mapping the NI Eden Project community and other partners have already done to help what we all do become more visible and connected.
The aim is to build an open source mapping tool that everyone participating can use for their locality, community of interest or network which then creates an island wide picture of our collective progressive landscape. Collaboration for Change’s focus is to create an island wide map as an initial first step and to develop a network of local volunteer convenors who not only help people map their area but act as catalysts for making connections and deepening collaborations.
Collaboration for Change is asking for help in three simple ways:
- Add your data to the mapping project (see link for more detail and an online form – will take 10-15 mins of your time)
- Share with others and consider registering your interest in being a local convenor
- Send any recommendations for tech developers or if you are a developer and can offer to help get in touch.
