The Mourne Gullion and Strangford area is famous for its myths and legends.
More often than not, these often bizarre stories have their roots in the local landscapes. These tall tales were often a way to interpret how the landscape formed before sciences such as geology were understood, or were a way to take advantage of some of the more dramatic landscape features and weaving them into a good story.
Come along and find out the truth behind some of these Rock Legends, whether it be giants, famous saints, or fair maidens and discover the amazing real-life stories that the area has to offer.
This is part of the events programme of the proposed UNESCO Global Geopark in Mourne, Gullion and Strangford.
