Winter Solstice Festival 2018 – At Slieve Gullion’s Foot presents ‘A Night of Nostalgia’.

At Slieve Gullion’s Foot Facebook page was set up by Tom Murphy and Brian Tomany on 21 August 2015 for the purpose of documenting and spreading awareness of the rich social, political, railway, sporting, ecclesiastical, literary and musical history of the Jonesborough and Dromintee area of County Armagh, Ireland.

The hugely successful Facebook page, which looks at the rich social, political, railway, sporting, ecclesiastical, literary and musical history of Jonesborough and Dromintee goes live!

Join Tom and Brian for a night of history and craic and a sneak preview of the photos and items of interest that will be appearing on At Slieve Gullion’s Foot in the coming months. You never know who you might see!”

“We Irish should keep these personages much in our hearts, for they lived in the places where we ride and go marketing, and sometimes they have met one another on the hills that cast their shadows upon our doors at evening.” from ‘Cuchulainn of Muirthemhne” by WB Yeats, written in March 1902.
