Walk for Wally Challenge Hike on Slieve Gullion

Two routes for a sponsored hike in aid of the Southern Area Hospice in Newry. One from Crossmaglen and one from Ti Chullain in Mullaghbane to the top of Slieve Gullion then descending to the Forest Park for refreshments in the afternoon

A fantastic opportunity to hike to the top of Slieve Gullion and raise funds for the Newry Hospice in memory of Walter Collins (Wally). There are two routes, the main hike and a shorter, easier walk. So whatever your level of fitness there is a walk for you.

The Southern Area Hospice Service provides invaluable support and care to people suffering from cancer and other terminal illnesses. All services are provided free of charge. This means that SAHS rely heavily on voluntary donations from events like this to continue providing their special care.

The fundraiser takes place on Sunday the 23rd of September. Assembling at The Cross Square Hotel at 7.30am and leaving at 8.00am towards the summit of Slieve Gullion. Those who wish to join and do a shorter walk can do so at Ti Chulainn’s car park at approx 11.00am.

Registration fee £10.00

All funds raised will go to Southern Area Hospice Services (Newry Hospice). Those who can not attend the walk, any and all donations are welcome and can be done here online on the Walk for Wally Just Giving Page
