The graves in the former Forkhill Church of Ireland church graveyard are in need of some tender loving care. They have become overgrown with brambles and ivy to the point where the stones can no longer be read. As the site is the final resting place of some of the areas important historical figures, such as Richard Jackson and his family, we’d appreciate some help restoring the graves.
We will be clearing the grave sites using hand tools, all safety equipment and tools will be provided. Tea/coffee and biscuits will also be provided. All you need to bring with you is weather appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear (hiking boots are ideal) and a packed lunch.
Registration is essential.
