The Starburst Challenge 2019-Midsummer Night 5 Mile Walk/Run.

This a challenge raising funds for the Starbust Sensory Project at Rathore Special Needs School, Newry.
The school have many planned events coming up over 2019 to raise vital funds to install a state of the art sensory room which will help with the developement of the kids.

Anyone taking part will have to provide their own headtorch or hand held torch and Hi-Viz. As darkness falls on the route through Camlough forest road to the mast, the mountain trail to the cross will be lit up with glow sticks etc.The cross will be illuminated for all to see as a marker to the summit. On the descent from the mountain your next illuminated marker will be the infamous Team Dog bar at the cottage at the foot of the mountain were you can stop and have a light refreshment. Then its onto the mountain road back to Carrickcruppen Club for more refreshments.
This route is 5 mile and walking is advised but if anyone wants to run,jog its ok.
This is NOT a race and there is no chipping system, its all about fun and raising funds.
There will be guides leading and sweepers at the rear making sure everyone is home safe and sound.
The fee for registration is £20.00.
We hope to have registration forms at various locations in Newry City for those not familiar with online registration.
This event will be capped and will close at a pre arranged date so we can move forward and order your bespoke medal.
Thank you all for you continued support as always.
