Applications will be open until 30th June 2019.
Calling all 14 to 17 year olds! Do you have an interest in the environment? Would you like to give something back to the local area and have fun doing it? Then we have the programme for you.
Our exciting eight-day volunteer Youth Rangers programme will be running from 16th July to 25th July (excluding the weekend). It is a fantastic opportunity for you to get out and explore the Ring of Gullion during your summer holidays. We use the Slieve Gullion Forest Park as a central drop-off and collection point, but each day will take you to a different part of the Ring of Gullion area. You will have the opportunity to learn first aid, zombie apocalypse survival skills, canoeing, practical conservation skills and much more. All we ask from you in return is your enthusiasm and a willingness to participate in the programme.
The programme is part funded by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, Heritage Lottery Fund and Newry, Mourne & Down District Council.
Cost: £100
