‘Peaceful Connections’ – Forest Bathing Experience

‘Peaceful Connections’ – Forest Bathing Experience

Join this special Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) event for an opportunity to allow your mind and body to switch off and truly rest, supporting you to feel more grounded and centred.

Meditation Coach and Shinrin Yoku Practitioner, Ann Ward from Xhale, will gently introduce you to ‘forest bathing’, which is the art of connecting with nature through your senses. She will use a number of creative invitations to support your sensory immersion within the nurturing haven of Slieve Gullion forest. The experience includes a tea ceremony with foraged mulled Elderberry cordial. The healing environment of the forest will help build your immune system, support cardiovascular health, promote sleep and stress reduction, and allow space for creative expression.

You will then visit Ann’s quirky World War II hut in the neighbouring village of Meigh to see Eurphemia Murphy’s art exhibition ‘Peaceful Connections’. This collection has been created around the life of the trees of Slieve Gullion. Refreshments will also be provided in the hut.

Please wear warm, comfortable clothing with a few extra layers as we will be sitting still, waterproofs, walking boots, hat and gloves. Also bring with you a small rucksack, pen and notepad and water for the forest bathing.

Cost: £22.15 – booking essential via Eventbrite
