Lúnasa Festival 2017 – Mindfulness Walk through Hidden Gems

Lúnasa Festival 2017 – Mindfulness Walk through Hidden Gems

Local Ambassador and meditation facilitator, Ann Ward, will guide this leisurely, mindful walk. She will share stories about the biodiversity and the historical sites including Bell’s Castle, Clonlum burial chamber, Killeavy Old Churches and St. Moninna’s Well.

Ann is a trained Ambassador for the Ring of Gullion and has deep connections with Slieve Gullion Mountain through her family heritage.

As a meditation facilitator, she delivers mindfulness experiences tailored to the needs of individuals, groups and organizations eg. taster mindfulness sessions, mindful walks, day retreats and stress management courses. Ann teaches a secular practice drawn from a number of ancient traditions and contemporary sources using the gifts of meditation and the landscape.

During this experience you will develop your skills in mindful breathing, grounding yourself in the present moment; you will nurture your awareness of nature and develop an appreciation for food through the sensory experience of eating during a mindful picnic.

Please bring a packed lunch of your favourite foods for a mindful lunch. Please note that a part of the route is steep.

Cost: £2  in aid of the Southern Area Hospice. Booking is essential; please contact Ann Ward by email [email protected] or phone: +4478 1683 5147.
