Midsummer Walk

We invite you to join Rosemary Mulholland for a free guided midsummer day walk in Bessbrook. Get some fresh air and enjoy the longest day of the year, while learning more about the local industrial and natural heritage. Rosemary will explain the vital role ‘Water power’ played in the industrial development of the area – the Camlough river that powered the Mills; the hydro-electric tram and the viaduct, that was built to carry the steam trains.

We recommend that you bring a rain coat and suitable footwear must be worn.  This will be a lengthy walk and a reasonable level of fitness is required.
