Lúnasa Festival 2018 – Wild Wednesdays: Nature Detectives

Come along for a guided nature walk through Jonesborough Forest. Explore among the leaves and leaf litter and discover the hidden creatures that share the forest with the bigger plants and animals.

Do you have a budding Chris Packham or Michaela Strachan in the house? Do your kids love poking in and around wild places? If so, bring them along to our Wild Wednesdays: Nature Detectives, where they can go and have a good poke around in Jonesborough Forest, under the guidance of Ring of Gullion staff.

Children will have the opportunity to view the minibeasts and trees of the forest up close as well as learn how to identify them. We may get lucky and have visits from larger animals; though we will have a few stuffed examples of our more elusive mammals.

Cost: Free, but booking is essential as places are limited.

Please note you only need to book a space for your child or children, however children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
