In today’s busy world there is a constant state of over stimulation and ‘techno-stress’. This immersive experience is an opportunity to allow your mind and body to switch off and truly rest, supporting you to feel more grounded and centred.
Celebrating International Forest day, this is an opportunity for you to rest, reconnect and deepen your mindfulness practice within the nurturing environment of Slieve Gullion forest. Meditation Coach and Shinrin Yoku Practitioner, Ann Ward will gently introduce you to ‘forest bathing’ which is the art of connecting with nature through your senses. She will use a number of creative techniques including a tea ceremony with foraged mulled Elderberry to support a holistic spring clean! The healing environment of the forest will help build your immune system, support cardiovascular health, promote sleep and stress reduction as well as stimulating creativity.
The experience will include refreshments in Ann’s quirky Nissan hut in the nearby village of Meigh – homemade vegetarian soup and bread, shortbread and tea and coffee (including herbal). As it is also World Poetry day, we will end the day with creative reflection.
Please wear warm, comfortable clothing with a few extra layers as we will be sitting still, waterproofs, walking boots, hat and gloves. Also bring with you a small rucksack, pen and notepad and water for the forest bathing.
Cost: £45 per person
