Over the course of this Introductory Weekend Retreat, you will have the opportunity to practice yoga, lose yourself in guided meditation, reconnect with self through mindful practices & satisfy your taste buds with our homemade, nutritionally rich foods.
The weekend will have a nice balance between practices/workshops and alone time, we appreciate life stresses and there will be time to reflect on all practices so that you come away feeling refreshed, enlightened and ready to return to the outside world with a new sense of vigour.
We as a generation are slowing coming to the realisation that we not only deserve, but unequivocally need to take time out to look after ourselves. Come and spend two nights in the unique location with its quirky accommodations at the beautiful Bluebell Lane. Situated at the foot of the mystical Slieve Gullion mountain, nestled in the Ring of Gullion which is steeped in folklore and legends. Here our aim is for you to take time to yourself, to slow down, to feel yourself being embraced by the beauty and tranquillity of your surroundings.
Your teachers for the weekend, Karen, Mary, Shaundelle and Caroline will be guiding you gently into a weekend of self-appreciation, helping you find some calm in your busy life and learning to give yourself permission to return to be at one with themselves again.
We at Gullion Wellness are very much about getting back to nature, which has been proven to reduce anger, fear and stress. Exposure to nature not only makes you feel better emotionally, it contributes to your physical wellbeing, reducing blood pressure, heart rate and muscle tension, and the production of those stress hormones. Here we teach you how to embrace and use nature as your means of coping with life.
Our ethos at Gullion Wellness is to Feed Mind Body & Soul. So along with all the mouth-watering, nutritious food that will be on offer to feed the body, we realise the soul needs nurturing to, that will be done through the gentle movements in yoga and walking in nature. The mind will be feed with meditation and learning mindful practices to take home. Our hope is that you will be leaving us on the Sunday afternoon feeling that you are enough and that you have gained the ability to somewhat deal with the daily stresses in your life.
