This is a special forest bathing immersion to celebrate nature and the last day of the Celtic festival of Samhain, end of the harvest.
Forest-bathing is an an evidence-based wellness practice which originated in Japan in the 1980’s. Meditation Coach and Forest Therapy Practitioner, Ann Ward from Xhale www.xhale.biz will offer you a number of creative invitations to help you to slow down, disconnect from the ‘techno-stress’ of life and support your reconnection with nature through your senses. The forest environment supports stress management in the following ways: 2 hours in the forest will help boost your immune system for up to 10 days; stabilises blood pressure and heart rate; lowers the production of stress hormones; relaxes muscles and the nervous system; boosts mood, energy levels and promotes creativity and sleep. Our experience will include a tea ceremony with warm foraged elderberry cordial which is full of vitamin C.
We will meet at 9 am at the gates of the Fairy Glen, beside the river.
What to bring: Please wear warm, comfortable clothing with a few extra layers as we will be sitting and standing still, waterproofs, walking boots, hat and gloves. Also bring a small rucksack, pencil/pen and notepad and a hot drink.
Please be assured that this will be a small group immersion where strict Covid 19 guidelines will be followed to ensure your comfort and safety.
