Newry, Mourne and Down District Council are running a number of courses for local people during the autumn and winter months:
Recreational Dress Making; BTEC Level 2 Award - Working as a door supervisor in the private security industry; Recreational Art Class; Well time for Me; Jewellery Making; Preparation for Floral Design - NAFAS Level 1 Certificate; Fascinator Making and Geneaology - Tracing your family tree.

Feeding your Senses this Autumn

Event takes place on September 21, 2019 until November 9, 2019

Winter Solstice Festival 2019- Roses from the Heart Memorial with Artist Christina Henri, Tasmania

Event takes place on October 4, 2019 until October 5, 2019

Christina Henri will give a public lecture on ‘The Ship Lass brides’ in the Cross Square Hotel, Crossmaglen on Friday 4th October at 8pm. She will also be facilitating the first bonnet making workshop with the South Armagh Lace Collective on Sat 5th October in Culloville Community Center.

Winter Solstice Festival 2019 – Stargazing and Indoor Planetarium

Event takes place on October 5, 2019

Wrap up warm and join the Irish Astronomical Association for an evening of stargazing. There will be the opportunity to look through telescopes, learn about the constellations in the sky and hear some of the stories about the characters they represent. Highlights of the evening include a selection of powerful telescopes, displays of Hubble Telescope images, and an inflatable planetarium.
