This workshop is a one day creative session exploring the translucent beauty of fused glass. Artist Tracey McVerry from ROGHA (Ring of Gullion Handcrafts and Art) will guide individuals through this introductory session, exploring the techniques of glass cutting, colour design, glass assembly and finally firing.
Each person should expect to create a beautiful serving platter. Maybe a gift to yourself or a loved one.
You will be cutting your own glass pieces and adding your personal colour design. You may want to create your own favourite power symbol in the platter, possibly your birth sign or use the Chakra system as your inspiration, its up to you to unleash your innate creative talents.
Fused Glass is a warm glass technique used to melt clear and coloured glass in a kiln. This technique is used to create small scale craft pieces to large scale architectural installations and sculptures.
