Lúnasa Festival – Discover our Gullionosaurus

Learn all about the dinosaurs which roamed the Gullion area before it became the landscape we know today. Engage in some messy geology and make your own fossils to take home.

Did a Gullionosaurus really roam  the hills of Armagh or just our imaginations?  Join Bronagh, our Geo-Ambassador, to learn about which dinosaurs lived in the Gullion area before it became the landscape we recognize today.

You will have the opportunity to handle real fossils representing some of the dinosaurs who roamed the area in the past.  Engage in some messy geology by making your own fossils to take home and erupting model volcanoes to learn how the Ring of Gullion formed.

Session 1: 10.00 – 12.00

Session 2: 14.00 – 16.00

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Places are limited, so please book a space on a session for your child below; both sessions are identical.  To avoid disappointment please attend the session you are booked onto.

For the afternoon session, in particular, please allow plenty of time to arrive at the Forest Park as you may have to travel in on the park and ride service, which could add an extra 30 minutes to your arrival time.
